What should be on your Keto Shopping List? Let’s have a look at our weekly shopping list. This will vary from person to person.
Factors Effecting the List
Everyone is different but as a start these are some points as to why your list may look different to a friends list:
- Where are you in your keto journey?
- How was your health pre-keto?
- What symptoms do you have and are trying to remedy?
- What are your goals?
- How are your ketone levels now?
- How are your blood sugar levels?
How to shop
These days online shopping is very handy. Most stores deliver in set times. Most deliveries are received fresh and packed well.
The Supermarket is great as you get to hand pick your produce. There may be temptations however to pickup things not on your keto shopping list but avoid the temptation!
The fresh markets often offer free range and organic produce. These can sometimes be more expensive. Markets can also be less convenient to get to. It is all a trade off.
I find a combination of all of these to be quite good. I get my shelf life products delivered online. The hard to find bits in the Supermarket isle. And the really fresh produce in the markets. It is also great to support the local industry. Spread the wealth as they say. And vote with your feet!

- Butter – grain fed
- Bacon – streaky
- Avocado
- Spinach
- Chicken wings – or drummets
- Pork Lard
- Coconut Oil
- Spices
- Leafy green vegies
- Broccoli
- Meat cuts – with fat.
- Pork belly or shoulder
- T-Bone Steak
- Soda Water – add some lime per our article!
