We summarise themany keto resources and studies so you don’t have to. This isn’t rocket science but there are a few traps and places people get stuck. Theory will only get you so far. Which is why our art will assist your science. Speed up the process by applying our practical knowledge.
Tell us your end goal and we can apply the research for. It’s all about finding your combination best combination in a sea of information.
So what is the Keto Diet?
You’ve probably heard and read a lot about it but let’s summarise in simple terms. Our bodies can either burn insulin or ketones. Years ago before the introduction of farming, storing and reselling foods there were no carbs in bulk to spike insulin. We only had natural foods to fuel us via ketones.
The ketogenic diet is a high fat, adequate protein, low carbohydrate protocol that mirrors this natural food source. It has also been used to treat medical issues but more on that later. By providing the body fats to burn rather than introduced carbohydrates the body runs on ketones and insulin spikes reduce. The liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies to fuel the brain and body. The alternate is eating carbohydrates that convert into glucose for fueland increase insulin spikes – making people feel tired, less focused and possible weight gain.
